Who this is for: Ciba Health 1:1 patients
Connect your devices on the Accounts tab in Health Metrics in the patient portal. A Transtek scale or blood pressure monitor connects with the code on the back of the device. Withings and Fitbit connect when you sign in to your Withings or Fitbit account.
Before you begin
Set up your device with its own guide first:
- Transtek digital scale: How to use your Transtek scale
- Transtek blood pressure monitor: How to use your Transtek blood pressure monitor
- Withings scale: How to connect your scale to the Withings app
- Withings blood pressure monitor: How to connect your blood pressure monitor to the Withings app
- Fitbit: How to set up your Fitbit in the Fitbit app
- Dexcom Stelo glucose sensor: How to set up and apply your Stelo. Stelo is not on the Accounts tab. If you have questions about it, ask your care team in Messages.
The Accounts tab shows only the devices that are part of your program.
Open the Accounts tab
Step 1: Open Health Metrics
Sign in at my.cibahealth.com and select Health Metrics in the menu. On a phone, select Metrics in the bar at the bottom of the screen.
You can also select Connect on the "Connect your health accounts" card on your Dashboard.
Step 2: Select the Accounts tab
You see a card for each device brand. A device that is already linked shows "Connected".
Connect a Transtek scale or blood pressure monitor
Your Transtek device may already be linked to your account when it arrives. If the Transtek card shows "Connected" next to your device, you are done.
Step 1: Select Connect
On the Transtek card, select Connect next to Weight Scale or Blood Pressure Monitor.
Step 2: Go through the short guide
Select Let’s go, then the Next button on each screen. It shows where you are, for example Next 1/5. To go straight to the connection, select Skip to Connection. On the last screen, select Start Connection.
Step 3: Enter the code from your device
Find the IMEI or the serial number on the back of your device. Then do one of these:
- Select Scan QR Code and point your camera at the code. The code fills in for you.
- Type the 15-digit IMEI in Enter IMEI.
- Type the last 12 digits of the serial number in Enter SN (serial number).
Step 4: Select Connect
When your device is linked, you see "Device successfully connected!".
Connect a Withings or Fitbit account
Step 1: Select Connect on the Withings or Fitbit card
A window shows the health data that will sync with your Ciba Health account.
Step 2: Select Synchronize
The Withings or Fitbit sign-in page opens.
Step 3: Sign in and allow access
Sign in with the same account you use in the Withings or Fitbit app. If more than one person uses your Withings account, choose your own profile. Then allow the app to share your data with Ciba Health.
Step 4: Check that it worked
You come back to the Accounts tab. The card shows "Connected" and the list of health data that syncs to your dashboard.
See your readings
Open the Metrics tab in Health Metrics. Your readings show there after your device sends them. If no device is connected yet, the tab says "Link Your Accounts" and has an Accounts button.
If something goes wrong
- You see "Account connection error": try again later. If it keeps happening, contact support.
- A Withings or Fitbit card shows "Unreliable": select Disconnect, confirm with Disconnect, then select Connect again.
- A Transtek device shows "Unreliable": select the question mark next to it to see why. It may have a weak signal or low batteries. Move it to a place with a stronger signal, or put in new batteries.
- The Connect button stays gray after you type the code: check the number. The IMEI has 15 digits. For the serial number, type only the last 12 digits. Use numbers only.
- Transtek readings are missing: the device can store up to 500 readings. It sends them once it has a signal again.
- You want to disconnect a Transtek device: disconnecting can permanently erase the data from that device. Contact support before you do it.
- You do not see Health Metrics, or your device brand is missing: your program may not include it. Ask your care team in Messages.
